“…that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”
Col 2:2,3
We are never alone. Our hearts are joined in one accord with many others who seek the joy of the Lord in their lives. We seek to encourage others as we seek encouragement. We rest in the promise of eternity and we rest in the assurance of the Spirit in us.
Why should we ever seek then the comforts of the world? For truly all of the world’s comfort blows away as the chaff of wheat in the wind. We need to lean on each other with understanding and compassion. But, we need to lean on God foremost. It is this reliance on He of whom we believe in but cannot see that fortifies our spiritual character and fortifies our relationship with Him. In turn our subsequent relationship here with other is fortified.
But can we see Him? Look around. His fingerprints are everywhere. We are blessed in love, compassion – more than we will ever know.
I encourage all that we are knit together in love. Together we have all of the assurance of the beginning of wisdom and the understanding of the mystery of God.
There are treasures hidden in His mystery. He is not deceitful, but requires us to look and listen to grow. As an unwatered seed will not grow, we too, will not grow unless we seek His richness. Our successful effort lies in our ability to see all we do and all events of our life through the eyes of Jesus. This means that everything we do is purposeful in our godly walk and with each new event, a new mystery unveiled. Wisdom and knowledge. Full assurance of understanding! God promises it is not fruitless to seek Him in our daily lives. In fact, we are assured of success. This is encouragement from above and toward Him, we must walk.
Our joining together in His name is blessed. In force, we are a strong witness. Walk toward discovery and see the mystery of God – another will join, soon another, and yet another. We will join hands – an extension of our knitted hearts – and walk toward our God who will mystify no more as we seek Him.
It is our path we have chosen. Rely on the trust we have acquired through faith in God through His Son. Altogether in His arms of loving grace.
Rick
