…a drop in a bucket

Cast not away your confidence because God defers his performances. That which does not come in your time, will be hastened in his time, which is always the more convenient season. God will work when he pleases, how he pleases, and by what means he pleases. He is not bound to keep our time, but he will perform his word, honour our faith, and reward them that diligently seek him.

Matthew Henry

Firstly, Our foundation for what we do in this life rests on the bedrock that IS Jesus Christ. Our confidence lies in our trust in Him. Our prayers our conveyed to God and He hears! His action is not necessarily in our time but it manifest  in some way in His time. His way or manifestation or answer may not be the way we planned but rest in joy that His action from our prayer is a wonderful event. Never give up your prayers to Him. He is hearing you now. All is well and all is good as we supplicate to God a passion we thirst for and want so badly to seek its fruition. That is Spirit-led passion. Follow it beyond the noise of the naysayer. It is personally between you and God. I pray my passion is to continue on pursuit of a selfless pilgrimage on to encourage others in His name. Never give up and always encourage. One glimpse of joy through your prayer to God and from Him, down upon another through the intercession of Christ Jesus, is worth a lifetime of prayer. AS a friend said to me once: God is not always interested in a full bucket of water, but a series of drops in a bucket – each providing a glimpse of hope for someone, somewhere. Seek Him today for His will. He will show you.

Secondly, I pray for the strength and wisdom to be the husband that God wants me to be and not the one I think I should be. His work in me is encouraging, my responses are at times discouraging. I want godliness. Each day when I see that godliness I count it as a drop in a bucket for God will not yet fill  my bucket yet. I am in the process of His perfection as we all are. Never be discouraged – always look to Him.

Especially for Dana in my arms as we both are held in His arms.
