How deep the sting
O feet of tentative steps
Or an anxious gait
Across crystaline ice
Field adorned in frost
Unwanted but accepted
Presented on virgin night trail
Covering traces of paths walked long before
Redemption is a welcoming light
From a fire-lit room
Afar in warm shelter
Sanctuary in a wintry night
Through misted window
Of condensed evening breath
We converse passionatley
Speaking fondly of the Lord
And melodic meter
Draws nigh the voice
Of He most high
Abating frost and swelling heart
And teardrop falls
Upon morose cheek
Remembering forever
God’s peaceful forgiveness
