about me

me

I am a Christian. I am passionate about Jesus and about how the Bible really is relevant in my life. I use prose and short stories to reveal my life and walk in Christ.

I love people and can sense broken hearts. I will pray with you.

I want people to know what a passionate Christian feels like and thinks about. I want to convey that the Bible is beautiful instruction for our lives and all wisdom and love are nested in God’s word. He wants us to unveil His mystery in His Word.

The Holy Spirit guides and moves me:

“The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” John 3:8

I like good Christian writers: St. Augustine, Francis Schaeffer, Annie Johnson Flint, Charles Spurgeon, and Matthew Henry.

We are all born with God’s loving touch.

I live in Northern California with my wife, Dana, son, Blake, and daughter, Phoebe. Buster is our Red Nose Pitty. I love music and art. I embrace the changing world know one thing: God is forever unchanging and whatever we see, think, or feel, He is always and forever steadfast..

Peace and Love in Jesus

Rick

Now upon my merciful walk,
Path steadfast on the Rock.
He alone perfects my heart,
From Him I never shall part.

Elated soul emanates joy

For a good work in me He did start
Exposing, refining shadowed heart .
I diligently will stay the course
In response to love, Fatherly source .

Thro’ narrow gate I bypass fear
Accepted by the Blood, so dear.
Step-by-step, O steady gait
Enemy, defeated, dismal fate.

For I rebuke evil – I push him out.
Empowered by Jesus, His name I shout.
So joy emanates from this smiling face
Love cast upon the world – ev’ry place.

Shining brightly the Light of heaven
Abiding Spirit, sifting leaven.
Partake in this moment where faithfully
I cry His name, He smiles sweetly.

So, take my life, Lord, I concede all the more
Emanating joy from my trusting core.

Amen

  5. Hi, a question, just curious how you think about the Snowden, and Bradley case? As I find no american bloggers speak about their ideas, I feel strange about it, hopefully you could give me some of your thoughts?

    • We are American! We are apathetic to such things ;-).There is so much to follow in this country … especially now as we polarize to greater heights I have not seen before.I will get more up to date and respond properly, Thanks

    • If some call Snowden a traitor and others a whistleblower…(wikipedia) Then he fits the current paradigm in the US. We have no solid truth or basis of integrity. It has been lost, in my opinion, in the last ten years, We have demonized those I personally think have integrity. Now we are mired in an administration that is successfully polarizing this country. We could have a civil war if we had any guts.

      • Thank you for sharing your thoughts, sorry for my “graffiti” on your site, I thought these are humanity issues (or crime against humanity) rather than social issues(?), unfortunately I don’t communicate with fellow-bloggers through email (I got too many emails from different directions that I should delete 90% of them).

I think I understand what your comments on my question … bon weekend.

      • Not at all on ‘graffiti’! You have stirred my curiosity. I guess what I am saying is right now in America, we don’t know who to believe anymore. It is a melting pot of opinions and politics.

The question is who is committing the crime?

You may continue to comment here. I understand about the email. I am interested.

        Thanks.

    • Thank you! As far as what I think about the Quran? I do not believe it and do not need to read it to be convinced. Ishmael was not Abrahams firstborn. Sarai did not have the patience or obedience to wait on God. When she did, Isaac was born, first born as promised by God. All the books in the world would not convince me of something different. Thank you again for your kind words 🙂

    • I thank you and hope you came to a conclusion regarding the poem’s significance 🙂 I hope you see that in our struggles, day-to-day, we overlook the fact that we already have victory and the petty annoyances we go through, though not trivial, have already been borne by our Savior Who bears all weight for all times. God bless you.
