and then we cried out…

13 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble,

And He saved them out of their distresses.
14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death,
And broke their chains in pieces. Psa 107 (NKJV)

Do we cry out to God in our distress?

My trust is tested and my confidence reels but God’s mercy endures forever whether I abide or not.

Do I know where to focus?

The end of my self is when my true abidance and trust in Christ our Lord truly begins. I welcome this end. I welcome this beginning.

Do I believe to what God tells me?

The burdens weigh so heavy sometimes and I often forget that Jesus already said to trust Him with ALL burdens. How can I love Him so much yet so easily fall out of trust?

…and we cry out!

Lest we forget: Our distress is paired with the joy and longsuffering endurance of His refinement of me. I cannot get to His daily refinement until I let go and let Him work – plus be joyful in His work.
