Looking into the mirror,
Upon whom do my eyes see?
Do I see just a man?
Or an image of godly integrity?
What I see is the image
Of one who ebbs and flows like the tides at the shore.
Living in self-indulgence,
Seeking ever more.
But to Jesus I have pledged,
My life to evade.
This world of frivolity
And reach my perfected image made
I am a pilgrim in this time,
With gifts Divinely imparted.
To be the fruit of joy
From the vine our Father started.
Now into the mirror
I take a closer look to examine what I see.
The unique creation in Christ,
The picture is me.
There is the perfect Law of Liberty,
Written upon my heart.
The sign of an abiding Spirit
Sanctified, set apart
We are knit together – each of us
Believers of God in His way sublime,
I savor this moment,
This moment in time.

Beautiful! Sometimes we have to strain in the mirror to fully comprehend whose reflection is staring back at us. Our identities must be rooted in Christ…the more we search after Him, the more we begin to resemble Him, and the more able we are to see life through His lens.
You have a gift for writing and I’ve enjoyed reading your blog. I’m not “up” on all the various ways to stay connected in cyberspace (linkedIn, google 1, etc. ?) but I’ll be back to visit and soak in more of the truth God’s been placing on your heart in word form.

Thank you for the inspiring response and the wonderful compliment. Do we follow each other on Twitter? Peace and God’s abounding grace over you and yours.

I don’t have a twitter account. I’m not sure I could keep up with much more beyond fb, email, and my blog 🙂

Just drop a line here once in awhile and I will do the same on yours.
Mostly, though, just pray. Pray for everyone on this earth you can think of. Pray for me and my family and I will for yours! I do not believe much in accidents anymore. God has a purpose. Be blessed new sister!
